Repair The Shower Base Quickly And Easily With These Tips

One day, you will find mould on the skirting board and the drywall in the bedroom. On the other side of the wall is your tiled Shower. Shower Floor Leaking may be the most expensive solution in the bathroom. With this in mind, you may want to ensure that it is a leak before calculating the cost of dismantling and replacing equipment, but it is the only solution.

You can call the plumber or follow the steps below.

1. Make sure you have nowhere to go temporarily. This test lasts all day. The last thing you need to do is test your Cracked Shower Base, leave it in the middle of the test and cause huge water damage problems.

2. Collect your supplies! A large bucket, towel, tape measure, and tape.

3. Dry the shower floor around the drainpipe with a handy playboy towel.

4. Cover the drainpipe with a channel the size of a paper tray. Make sure it is pressed very firmly.

5. This test requires water from another source. The last thing you want to do is use shower water, and there are cracks in your shower faucet or shower wall. We want to be able to isolate the shower tray. Take your bucket and fill it about 2/3 full.

8. The test lasts at least 8 hours. Some leaks take a long time to appear. You can now check the water level every hour or so. If it sinks, add water to bring it back to 1 inch.

9. Check for leaks again approximately every hour, as described in step 7. If you see water, stop the test. Remove the tape you are leaking. If you find no leaks in this test, congratulations, then your problem is not your shower tray.

At the end of this test, you may be happy that this is not your shower tray, but you want to know what else it can be. Well, if you have a shower seat, it may be your shower seat. Or it may be where the curb meets the wall. Your shower room can be built without bathtub corners at both ends. How about that shower door is not so waterproof? Your shower faucet may be leaking behind the wall or the faucet handle.

Once you eliminate these possible causes, you will be left with one of the most common Shower Floor Leaking solutions, a crack in the corner of the wall. Re-seal all shower rooms and let them dry; you may not see any Shower Leaking from the Base again. If you suspect that you may leak, we recommend not waiting for these tests to be performed.
